WHAT WE HEARD
Reflecting Back the Conversation
After conversations with the CRWN team, here is what we took away. We have an extensive network across all four streams and can get into specifics on follow-up.

The Big Picture

CRWN has been working with ClimateDoor on one specific workstream, sales outreach, and it has been going well. But the leadership team stepped back and realized there are a lot of other areas of the business that could use support, and right now those are either being handled by different vendors in silos, or not being handled at all.

Rather than continue to bolt on separate people for separate things, there is a real opportunity to bring everything under one roof: one team that is connected, aligned, and working together across sales, marketing, partnerships, and fundraising.

The ask from the leadership team is straightforward: show us what that looks like, what it would cost, and what we would get out of it.

Sales

The sales outreach work is continuing and there is momentum, but the underlying commercial infrastructure does not yet exist. No pricing benchmark, no service model, no defined go-to-market approach.

The priority is getting to a first signed pilot or customer, and building the repeatable system around that so it can scale.

Geography is open. Canada is the starting point, but Australia, Europe, and the Middle East are all on the table if the right opportunity shows up first.

Indigenous Partnerships

CRWN is already 21% indigenously owned. The goal is to explore what getting to 51%+ looks like and what that unlocks: preferential funding, procurement access, and a stronger story with utilities who are well behind on their indigenous procurement targets.

There are active conversations underway with Alkali Band, Talthan Nation, and others, but they need structure and follow-through. Chad's network and expertise is the asset here.

Raven Capital was flagged as the most interesting investor to explore: the only true indigenous venture fund in Canada, based in Vancouver, with a relationship ClimateDoor already has.

Marketing

Marketing at CRWN today is ad hoc and founder-led. There is no research behind the strategy, no clear answer to which channels to use, why, how often, what to say, or who is actually reading it.

Brittany and the team want to build something real: a proper strategy grounded in research, with channel decisions they can defend, content that looks professional, and a plan that maps to the actual buyers and events that matter in this space.

The goal is not volume. It is credibility, showing up in the right publications, conferences, and conversations so that utilities and investors take CRWN seriously before they even get on a call.

Fundraising

The immediate need is around $600K to bridge to commercial production readiness by November 2026. The bigger goal is a $3-5M Series A, but they are not quite ready to go to market on that yet.

R&D grants are well covered. The next frontier is commercialization grants and equity investors who understand the climate tech space.

The team acknowledged they do not yet know what they do not know, and that getting outside eyes on the pitch, the data room, and the financials before going live is exactly what they need.

Goals and Deliverables

Minimum Win
At least 1 pilot signed or in final negotiation. Ownership pathway established with 1+ active indigenous partnership. Marketing strategy delivered and executing. $600K bridge actively in motion with investor meetings booked.
